SHOW UP, SHOW OUT

I get asked very often what I do for training and how often I train. DISCLAIMER: What I do works for me and may not work for you. But at some point, we need to shake up our routine a bit and try something new. This could be the one piece of information you need to read to get you to commit to something new. And like I mentioned in my former blog post “Just Keep Going”, how I trained 4 years ago is completely different than how I train now.

PROTEIN IS KING: 3 High Quality Protein Sources That Aren’t Meat Or Eggs

PROTEIN IS KING! In my opinion, protein is THE most important macronutrient. If there is any macronutrient you should prioritize every day, it is protein. Some people find it hard to hit their protein goal everyday so I am going to share high protein food options that DON’T include meat, fish or eggs. SIDE NOTE: When choosing any food at the grocery store, make quality your priority. Don’t fall for the “no fat”, “keto” or any other marketing labels.

Nothing F*cking Matters

My heart and soul hurts. I’m angry. I don’t understand why bad things can happen to such amazing people. I lost someone who was a big part of my teen years. She was my softball and volleyball coach in high school. Her name is Kaylyn Bayly. She meant so much to me and so many others. I wouldn’t have been able to make it through high school without her. Reading everyone’s posts on social media since her passing just goes to show how many lives she has truly impacted.

Overnight Protein Oats

Dessert for Breakfast, YES PLEASE People always ask me why I go to bed so early. My answer: because sleep is like a time machine to breakfast. The sooner I go to bed, the sooner I get to eat! Clearly, breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. Just Keep Going

Well hello old friends. It’s been a while since I’ve wrote a blog. A lot has changed since then so I figured I’d update you all on my health journey. Those are all benefactors that can support more balance and less overwhelm in this life.

The Secret Sauce(s)

Dressings and sauces can make or break a meal. They either ruin it OR make it taste oh so good but then it comes with the crazy high calories or the crappy ingredients. My goal is to enjoy the food that I am eating so it inspired me to get creative and of course keep it as healthy and clean as possible! FOUNDATION: The foundation of all my dressings came from the woman who cooked dinners for me for 20+ years and the best cook I know: my Mom.

The Weekly #DRIPDRIP

Hey hustlers! I get a lot of questions on my workouts as far as what I do, what type and how often I do them. I hope sharing my current weekly workout routine will help inspire or give you guys new ideas for your workouts! I do heavy resistance training 4 days a week, circuit training/cardio for 2 and rest for 1. I also started incorporating yoga twice a week at night and man do I feel a difference!

Be The Habit

Buddha couldn’t have said it better, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” This also pertains to our bodies. BE the change you wish to see in your body! The most serving, yet, detrimental component to all of change is habit. We have choices— to create healthy, positive, and beneficial habits, or the complete opposite. When it comes to eating, we need to practice whatever it takes to make healthy choices.

Foodie: Shopping, Meal Prepping, Routine, Gainz

Hey healthy living peeps! Let’s talk about our weekly shopping and meal prepping, shall we. In order to be successful with our weight loss or any body transformation goal, what we eat is how we will reach those goals! If there is one thing I learned through my journey, it is that you CANNOT out train a bad diet! And you also feel pretty crappy trying to workout: lethargic, bloated and sick from the foods you are eating.
